Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Seasons Greetings, or whatever sounds best to you. Wherever you are and whoever you are with today, I hope you are surrounded by love and happiness. No matter what your religious beliefs are, if any, this is a time of year to be happy. I know we are, here in our snug little house on wheels.

Here’s a happy lady to be sure. When Miss Terry is working on her Baby Wolf loom, that smile never leaves her face. People have asked about how much room the loom takes up in our motorhome. As you can see, when set up for weaving it covers a bit of floor space, but there is room to get around it with no problem.

When not in use it folds up to give us more room, and when we’re traveling it rolls back to the bedroom.

Yesterday was a windy, blustery day for the most part. A little after 11 a.m. I was outside doing something when a man from a site across the road from us asked for my help in securing the awning on a Bounder on the far side of our rig. The folks from the motorhome had gone off and left their big patio awning out and the wind had broken one of its support arms and it was sagging. We managed to get it closed up and secured as much as possible. Folks, never leave your awning out unless it’s well staked down. I can’t tell you how many awnings we’ve seen destroyed over the years. It only takes a minute for a strong wind to come up and do hundreds of dollars worth of damage. Take the time to put it up if you’re away from your RV and save yourself a lot of trouble and expense.

A little later on, our friends Dave and Jean Damon stopped over to visit for a while. It’s been a while since we crossed paths, so it was nice to see them and get caught up. Tomorrow the four of us will go to a Chinese buffet for dinner, a tradition for us whenever we’re here at the Orlando Thousand Trails. What are you doing for Christmas?

What better way to wind down from the holiday hubbub than with a good book? I have two brand new titles to tell you about today. J.L. Jarvis? has just released The Return, book three in her popular Highland Soldiers series of historical romances set during the turbulent Covenanter times of seventeenth century Scotland.

And if you’re a science fiction fan you’ll be happy to know that, The Search for Orion, the second book in the Nemesis series by bestselling author Saxon Andrew, just hit the market.
